In a sea of sci-fi, Low explores new depths.
While my head is usually among the stars, it’s nice to imagine other worlds closer to home. And where on Earth is more other-worldly than beneath the seas? Now imagine you fast-forward a few millennia, we’ve never made it off Earth, we have to retreat under the waves, and our last few cities are running out of time and air. Most have accepted the end of humanity, but a few optimists are still fighting for our survival. That’s the premise of Low, an incredible comic series currently ongoing from creators Rick Remender and Greg Tocchini. The artwork is stunning, the story captivating, and if that’s not enough to hook your interest then I hope submarine mechs will.
